We started out as a family business, and work to maintain a family atmosphere today. Our team is friendly and close-knit, and we value community involvement.

The history of Delta Aggregates goes back to the late 1940s, with Westland Concrete. Delta Aggregates was started as an offshoot of Westland Concrete in 1968, and has been going strong ever since.

Westland Concrete History

Westland Concrete was an independently owned operation with the company's roots tracing back to the late 1940's.

During the construction boom of the 1950's and ’60's with building materials in high demand, Westland Concrete was founded from Cindercrete Block MFG., an already successful business which started in the late 1940's. Construction of the concrete plant started in 1965 with the Grand Opening in 1966.

Our company has been involved in many unique projects throughout our history such as several Wind Turbines, Feed Lots, Bridges, underwater Concrete Pumping, CFA piling and Concrete Elevator structures. Westland Concrete was purchased by COLAS Canada in June 2012 and we look forward to new challenges and changes in the construction industry.

Our company owns 13 Mixer Units with additional rental units available for proposed larger pours. We are committed to quality in our performance as well as our products. We have full-time quality control staff and testing laboratories to ensure consistency of all products

We have two automated concrete plants located in Swift Current and a stationary plant located in Shaunavon, SK. for continuous concrete supply. We have access to portable batch plants if required and have mobile plant experience.

Delta Aggregates History

Delta Aggregates was started in 1968/69 and again was founded through Cindercrete Block MFG., when Jake Heinrichs accidentally purchased a used Jaw/Roll crusher at an auction sale with the initial bid! The crusher was re-built and tested in the old Westland Concrete yard. From there, Delta started processing aggregate for retail sales, RM supply and gravelling roads.

Delta Aggregates expanded into demolition work, road building, snow removal, landscaping and various aggregate products.
